A day office is a private, lockable room you book for one working day, with desks, chairs and wifi, and nothing to sign afterwards. Wezoo lists 399 buildings with a day office across the United Kingdom, in 178 towns and cities, from 11 operators, and you can book any of them for a single day without a membership. This guide covers what is actually included, where the rooms are, what a day office costs, who it suits, and how booking works.

What a day office is, and what you get at our buildings
A day office is a room, not a seat. You get the whole room for the working day: the door shuts, the desks are yours, and when you leave there is nothing to cancel. That is the line between a day office and a coworking day pass, where you take whatever desk is free in a shared room. It is also the line between a day office and a private office, which is a room you hold on a term of a month or longer.
Across the 399 UK buildings the listing data is consistent on two things and varies on everything else. All 399 list wifi on their day offices, and all 399 list coffee, tea and water as included rather than extra. Natural light is listed on 368 of them. Beyond that the detail below is what the buildings themselves publish, not a general promise.
Counting across all 399 buildings: 370 list catering, 329 list breakout space, 317 sit near a public car park and 252 near public transport. 250 are wheelchair accessible, 150 have a members’ lounge, 125 have their own parking, 92 have a coffee and tea bar and 84 have bike storage. Smaller numbers list climate control (37), a staffed reception (37), an on-site restaurant (36) and phone booths (13).
What you do not get matters just as much. Presentation kit is rare on the rooms themselves: a whiteboard is listed on 3 of the 399 buildings, a flip chart on 3, a large display on 2 and video-conferencing equipment on 2. If the day hinges on a screen, book a meeting room in the UK alongside the office or instead of it. Weekends are out too. Every one of the 8,317 listed rooms opens Monday to Friday only, most commonly from 08:30 to 17:30, with 08:30 to 18:00 and 09:00 to 17:00 as the next most common windows.
The ten buildings below are ordered by their listed day rate, from the cheapest in the country upwards, and between them they cover ten different towns and cities.
1. The TAD Centre, Middlesbrough

The TAD Centre by Regus, Middlesbrough
On the first and second floors at TS3 7SF, this is one of six UK buildings carrying the lowest listed rate in the set. Fourteen day offices, with room ceilings from 4 up to 25 people, and every one of them £33.00 for the day. The building lists catering, breakout space and a public car park nearby, and the rooms open from 08:30 to 17:30 on weekdays.
2. Marsh Barton Trading Estate, Exeter

Marsh Barton Trading Estate by Basepoint, Exeter
Basepoint’s Exeter centre on Yeoford Way, EX2 8LB, lists 39 separate day offices, so a single busy date is unlikely to close the whole building to you. Ceilings run from 2 to 17 people and the rate is £59.40 for the day whichever room you take. It lists catering, breakout space, a lounge, its own parking and step-free access, and sits near public transport.
3. South Gyle, Edinburgh

South Gyle by Regus, Edinburgh
Westpoint at EH12 9DQ carries the lowest listed day rate of Edinburgh’s six buildings at £72.60, with 15 day offices and ceilings from 1 to 12 people. It lists catering, breakout space and step-free access, and sits near both public transport and a public car park.
4. 400 Thames Valley Park Drive, Reading

400 Thames Valley Park Drive by Regus, Reading
Thames Valley Park at RG6 1PT lists 33 day offices with ceilings from 1 to 21 people, all at £77.88 for the day. It lists catering, a coffee and tea bar, a lounge, breakout space and step-free access. Reading has six buildings with day offices on Wezoo, so a full date here does not end the search in that town.
5. No.1 Whitehall Riverside, Leeds

No.1 Whitehall Riverside by 2-Work, Leeds
A single day office rather than a floor of them, at 1 Riverside Way, LS1 4BN. The room takes up to 14 people and costs £79.20 for the day. It lists a staffed reception, climate control and breakout space, and sits near public transport. Because there is only one room, the date you want is either free or it is not, so check early if the day is fixed.
6. 82 King Street, Manchester

82 King Street by Regus, Manchester
King Street, M2 4WQ. Twelve day offices are listed, with ceilings from 3 to 28 people, all at £91.08 for the day. It lists catering, a coffee and tea bar, breakout space, its own parking and step-free access, and sits near public transport, which is the combination to look for when the point of the day is that clients can walk in.
7. Forsyth House, Belfast

Forsyth House by Regus, Belfast
Twenty-nine day offices at BT2 8LA, with ceilings from 2 to 26 people and a rate of £91.08 for the day, the joint-lowest in Belfast alongside one other building. Belfast has six buildings with day offices in total. This one lists catering, breakout space, its own parking and step-free access, and sits near public transport.
8. Vauxhall, London

Vauxhall by HQ, London
Vintage House at SE1 7TL lists seven day offices with ceilings from 2 to 11 people, at £99.00 for the day. London carries 82 buildings with a day office and their listed rates run from £85.80 to £1,716.00, so this one sits near the bottom of the London range. It lists catering, a lounge, bike storage and step-free access.
9. 301 Tea Factory, Liverpool

301 Tea Factory by Spaces, Liverpool
301 Tea Factory at L1 4DQ lists 23 day offices, ceilings from 2 to 15 people and a rate of £99.00 for the day. It lists catering, breakout space and step-free access, and sits near both public transport and a public car park. It is one of six Liverpool buildings with day offices on Wezoo.
10. Edmund House, Birmingham

Edmund House by Regus, Birmingham
12-22 Newhall Street, B3 3AS. Twenty day offices are listed with ceilings from 1 to 17 people, at £125.40 for the day. It lists catering, a coffee and tea bar, breakout space, its own parking, bike storage and a spot near public transport. Birmingham’s area page carries eight buildings with day offices, and the lower rates among them are listed at the business parks outside the centre rather than in it.
Where day offices are available in the UK: the cities and how many in each
Supply leans towards London without being only London. The Greater London area page carries 97 buildings with a day office, and 82 of those have a London postal address. The rest of the 399 is spread across 101 Wezoo area pages and 178 separate towns and cities, from Aberdeen to Plymouth. Thirty towns have three or more buildings; 121 have exactly one, which is usually the local business park.
The table below counts the buildings on each Wezoo area page, so the figure is the one you will see when you open that page.

The city guides linked in that table go a level deeper, with the individual buildings, their room sizes and their current rates. If your town is not in the table it may still have a building: Exeter, Nottingham, Norwich, Warrington, Cardiff and Middlesbrough all carry day offices and none of them reaches the cut above.
What a day office costs in the UK: by the hour and by the day
By the hour, the honest answer is that you cannot. All 8,219 priced day-office rooms on Wezoo are priced for a full day, and not one of them carries an hourly rate. That is how the product is sold across the UK market, not a gap in our listings. If you only need two hours, the right product is a meeting room, which is priced by the hour and bookable at most of the same buildings.
By the day, listed rates run from £33.00, which six buildings in Middlesbrough, Hull and Linlithgow all list, to £1,716.00 at the top of the London range. Both figures are per room for the day, with tax and the booking fee already included, and that unit is worth pausing on: operator websites usually quote a day office per person, so a headline that looks lower is often a different thing being measured.
One pattern runs through almost the whole set. At 382 of the 396 buildings that publish a rate, every day office in the building costs the same whatever its ceiling, so a room for twelve is priced like a room for two. Only 14 buildings price their rooms by size, and all 14 of those are Elementa sites. In practice that means booking the room that actually fits your group usually costs you nothing extra, so there is little reason to squeeze six people into a four-person room.
Three of the 399 buildings publish no day rate at all. On those the price comes back with the enquiry rather than on the page.
Who uses a day office, and when it beats a coworking day pass
The demand is structural rather than seasonal. The Office for National Statistics found that 28% of working adults in Great Britain hybrid worked between January and March 2025. Teams that are spread across homes for most of the week still need a door that shuts for one day in ten, and that day is what this product is for.
In practice the bookings fall into a few shapes. A team day where the whole group needs one table and a wall to write on. A client meeting where you want an address and privacy rather than a cafe. Interviews, where candidates come and go through a reception. A run of confidential calls that cannot happen on a shared floor. And travelling teams who need a base in a city for a day and nothing afterwards.
Against a coworking day pass, the deciding factor is the unit. A day pass is priced per person, so the bill tracks the number of people. A day office is priced per room, so the bill does not move when you add a colleague, up to the ceiling of the room. For one person a coworking space in the UK is almost always the cheaper and livelier choice; the room starts to make sense as soon as the group needs to talk to each other without annoying anyone.
It is the wrong product in three cases. If you want a desk to yourself on a random Tuesday, that is coworking. If you need a room for ninety minutes, that is a meeting room. And if you need the same room every week with your own kit in it, that is a private office in the UK, which is quoted on a monthly term rather than booked by the day.
How to book a day office on Wezoo
- Open the UK day office listings, or go straight to a town using one of the city guides above.
- Pick a building. Its page shows every day office in it, the ceiling on each room, the rate for the day and the opening hours.
- Choose your date and your room size. Availability sits on the building’s own page, and remember that the listed ceiling is a maximum rather than a target.
-
Book as a guest. No membership, no subscription and no account needed, and the price you see is the price you pay.
Confirmation is instant, so there is nobody to chase. Cancellation windows are set by each building and are shown before you pay, so check that screen if your date might move. If the day also needs a room with a screen in it, add a meeting room at the same building rather than assuming the office comes with one.
A worked example: for a team of ten in the north west, open 82 King Street in Manchester, pick a room with a ceiling of ten or more, choose the date, and book. The rate is the same whichever of the twelve rooms is free.

Frequently asked questions
How many day offices are there in the UK?
Wezoo lists 399 buildings with a day office across the United Kingdom, holding 8,317 bookable rooms between them, in 178 towns and cities and from 11 operators. The Greater London area page accounts for 97 of the buildings.
How much does a day office cost per day in the UK?
Listed rates run from £33.00 to £1,716.00 per room for the day, with tax and the booking fee included. Six buildings, in Middlesbrough, Hull and Linlithgow, list the £33.00 floor; the top of the range is central London. The rate is per room, not per person.
Can you book a day office by the hour?
Not on Wezoo, and generally not in the UK market. All 8,219 priced day offices on Wezoo are sold for a full day. If you need part of a day, book a meeting room instead, which is priced by the hour and available at most of the same buildings.
Do I need a membership to book a day office?
No. You book a single day as a guest, with no membership, no subscription and no account required. Monthly memberships exist, but the operator sells those directly rather than through Wezoo.
What is the difference between a day office and a coworking day pass?
A day office is a private room booked for the day and priced per room. A coworking day pass is one seat on a shared floor, priced per person. The room is the one with a door you can close, and its price does not change when a colleague joins you.
Are day offices open at weekends in the UK?
Not in the current listings. All 8,317 day offices on Wezoo open Monday to Friday, most commonly from 08:30 to 17:30. If you need a Saturday, ask the building directly.
