Virtual Office Soho: 9 Best W1 Business Addresses in 2026

A virtual office soho address is not a place you work. It is a line on your letterhead, on your invoices, and — if you want it to be — on the public register at Companies House. In Soho that line does a job no other London postcode does: it tells a commissioning editor, a producer or a brand client that you are inside the industry’s square mile. This guide compares the nine W1D and W1F addresses available on Wezoo, explains what each street actually signals, and shows what the building behind the address really costs.

We pulled every virtual-office building Wezoo lists in London — 283 of them — on 12 July 2026, then filtered to the Soho postcode districts. What came back reframed the whole question. In the City, the postcode is the signal. In Soho, it is the street.

Wezoo snapshot — Soho virtual office addresses (12 July 2026)

  • 9 virtual-office addresses in Soho proper (W1D + W1F); 15 across W1D, W1F and W1B
  • Out of 283 virtual-office buildings Wezoo lists across London — Soho proper is 3.2% of the city’s supply
  • Virtual office is a quote-based product: Wezoo publishes no price for the address itself — you request it and the operator quotes you
  • Price of the building behind the address: private desks from £449 to £1,172 per person per month (median £760 across the 11 W1 doors that publish one; London median £578)
  • Meeting rooms at the same door, where they exist: £21.00–£111.60 per hour
  • Top operators: Fora, WeWork, Huckletree and Runway East — two doors each in Soho proper

Every figure above is first-party virtual office soho data, pulled from Wezoo’s inventory rather than a brochure.

Start with the cheap version of the question — what you are actually buying.

Browse all virtual offices in London: View all 283 addresses →

Everything below is grouped so you can skip to what you need: what the product includes, what it costs, whether the address is legal as a registered office, and then the nine buildings themselves.

What does a virtual office in Soho actually get you?

Two things, always: an address you are contractually allowed to use, and a plan for the post that arrives at it. Everything else is an add-on.

  • The address. Use it on your website, your invoices, your business cards, your email footer. This is the base product and it is the cheapest part.
  • Mail handling. Collection is normally included. Scanning and forwarding are usually charged separately — publicly advertised Soho plans put forwarding at roughly £9 a month on top (provider websites, July 2026).
  • Registered-office use. Almost never included in the headline price. On the largest Soho provider’s public price list it is a £7.99-a-month add-on, plus a one-off £30 anti-money-laundering setup fee (provider website, July 2026).
  • Call answering. An add-on, from around £11 a month at advertised rates.
  • Meeting rooms and desk-days. Pay as you go, at the buildings that have them. Only three of the nine Soho addresses on Wezoo rent a room by the hour.

Read that list as a ladder, not a package.

The lesson buried in it is the one nobody puts in a headline: the virtual office soho plan you see advertised is the floor, not the bill. Price the rungs you will actually use — the same exercise we ran on a virtual office in Old Street, where the address turned out to be the cheapest thing in the building.

What does a virtual office soho cost in 2026?

Nobody on Wezoo publishes a price for the address itself — virtual office is a quote product here, and inventing a number would be dishonest. What we can do is show you both ends of the market honestly.

On the public web, Soho virtual-office plans advertise from about £40.50 to £45.00 a month plus VAT (provider websites, July 2026), with the registered-office add-on, mail forwarding and call answering charged on top. That is the price of the line on your letterhead.

The price of the building that line points at is a different order of magnitude entirely. Here is what a fixed desk costs behind each Soho address that publishes one:

Address Postcode Operator Private desk, from
33 Broadwick Street W1F 0DQ Fora £1,172/desk/month
2 Sheraton Street (Medius House) W1F 8BH WeWork £874
151 Wardour Street W1F 8WE Fora £865
16 Great Chapel Street W1F 8FL WeWork £788
213 Oxford Street W1D 2LG Huckletree £760
Ingestre Court W1F 0JL Huckletree £750
London median, virtual-office buildings £578

Private-desk rates at Soho virtual-office addresses, Wezoo inventory, 12 July 2026.

Read the two numbers next to each other. The address costs about £45 a month. The desk behind the same door costs up to £1,172. A virtual office soho is, in the most precise sense, the cheapest thing that building sells you — and the only thing on that list you can buy without moving.

Can a W1 address be your registered office?

Yes — provided the building passes a test that most people have never heard of, and that changed the market in 2024.

Since 4 March 2024, under the Economic Crime and Corporate Transparency Act, every UK company must have what Companies House calls an appropriate address. The official definition has two limbs: a document delivered there must be expected to come to the attention of a person acting on behalf of the company, and delivery must be capable of being recorded by an acknowledgement of receipt. PO boxes no longer qualify. Third-party addresses still do — if they meet those two conditions. The GOV.UK guidance on company addresses spells out the rest.

Strip the legal language and you get something usefully concrete. A registered office is not an address. It is an address, plus a person, plus a window of time in which that person is there to sign.

So we checked the windows. Every Soho building on this list that publishes its opening hours keeps the same shape: Monday to Friday, no weekend hours, doors typically 09:00 to 17:00 — 17:30 at Regus Piccadilly, 18:00 at Elementa on Regent Street, the widest window in W1. In the district that Britain built its nightlife on, your registered office clocks off at five.

That is not a criticism of the buildings; it is the operating reality of a staffed reception, and it is the same everywhere in London. But it is worth knowing before you tell a courier to deliver at seven, or promise a client a same-day signature on a Saturday.

The street is the signal: why W1D and W1F do not sort Soho

Here is the finding that changed how we wrote this guide.

When we mapped the virtual-office addresses around Liverpool Street, the postcode did all the work. Twenty-six buildings sat within 500 metres of one station across five different postcode districts, and each district said something specific to anyone reading it — EC2M is banking, EC3A is insurance, EC2A is startup. The walk did not change. The register did. Nobody in the City memorises your street; they read your postcode.

Soho inverts that completely. No client has ever formed an opinion about W1F. But every client in this industry has formed an opinion about Wardour Street.

And the proof is sitting in the data. Wardour Street runs straight through two postcode districts:

Building Street Postcode district Distance apart
Wardour Street (Runway East) 58 Wardour Street W1D 217 m
151 Wardour Street (Fora) 151 Wardour Street W1F

One street, two registers, 217 metres apart — Wezoo inventory, 12 July 2026.

Wardour Street has two postcodes. Nobody in this industry has ever cared which. That single fact tells you which unit to shop in. In EC2 you buy a district. In W1 you buy a street — and the district is an accident of Royal Mail sorting that your clients will never see, because Companies House prints the whole address, not just the outward code.

The same accident works in reverse and it is the trap in this keyword. W1B is not a Soho postcode. It starts at Warwick Street, a five-minute walk from Old Compton Street, and then runs 1.3 kilometres north to Portland Place, which is Marylebone by any honest reckoning. Two of the fifteen W1 addresses we found sit up there. They are good buildings. They are not Soho, and we have not counted them among the nine.

Put the two rules together and you have the whole geography of a virtual office soho search in two lines. The register does not change; the walk does. Buy the street.

Which is why the nine buildings below are ordered by how far they sit from the middle of Soho, and labelled by street — the only unit a virtual office soho client actually reads.

The 9 best virtual office soho addresses on Wezoo

Ordered by walking distance from the Old Compton Street / Dean Street junction — the centre of Soho by any measure a client would recognise. Every one of these is a real, staffed, tenanted building.

1. Soho (Runway East) — 66 Old Compton Street, W1D 4UH

virtual office soho - Soho (Runway East)

Soho (Runway East) by Runway East, 66 Old Compton Street, Soho.

The most Soho address on this list, in the most literal sense: Old Compton Street is the spine of the district, and the building sits 114 metres from the Dean Street junction. Runway East runs it as a startup house rather than a corporate centre, and it is one of only three addresses in Soho proper that will also rent you a meeting room by the hour — at £111.60, the highest hourly rate in the postcode. Put this on your letterhead and nobody has to look up where it is.

  • 114 m from Old Compton Street
  • Operated by Runway East
  • Meeting room from £111.60/hour
  • Staffed Mon–Fri, 09:00–17:00

Request Soho (Runway East) on Wezoo

2. Wardour Street (Runway East) — 58 Wardour Street, W1D 4JQ

virtual office soho - Wardour Street (Runway East)

Wardour Street (Runway East) by Runway East, 58 Wardour Street, Soho.

Wardour Street is the address the British film industry has been using since the 1930s — production, post, distribution, the lot. Number 58 sits at the southern end, 140 metres from Dean Street, and it is registered in W1D. Hold that thought: the other Wardour Street building on this list is not.

  • 140 m from Old Compton Street
  • Operated by Runway East

Request Wardour Street (Runway East) on Wezoo

3. 151 Wardour Street (Fora) — 151 Wardour Street, W1F 8WE

virtual office soho - 151 Wardour Street (Fora)

151 Wardour Street (Fora) by Fora, 151 Wardour Street, Soho.

Same street, 217 metres north, different postcode district: W1F. Fora runs 151 Wardour Street as a members’ building, and a fixed desk behind this address starts at £865 per person per month — well above the £578 London median for a Wezoo virtual-office building. The address costs a fraction of that. Sitting down is what carries the premium.

  • 222 m from Old Compton Street
  • Operated by Fora
  • Private desk from £865/month

Request 151 Wardour Street (Fora) on Wezoo

4. Medius House (WeWork) — 2 Sheraton Street, W1F 8BH

virtual office soho - Medius House (WeWork)

Medius House (WeWork) by WeWork, 2 Sheraton Street, Soho.

A 1930s block just off Wardour Street, a two-minute walk from Soho Square. WeWork operates it as a full campus — reception, floors, community — which is why the mail has a staffed front desk behind it, and why a private desk here runs £874 a month. There is no meeting room bookable by the hour at this door, which matters more than it sounds; see the pitch-day section below.

  • 233 m from Old Compton Street
  • Operated by WeWork
  • Private desk from £874/month

Request Medius House (WeWork) on Wezoo

5. Huckletree Soho — Ingestre Court, Ingestre Place, W1F 0JL

virtual office soho - Huckletree Soho

Huckletree Soho by Huckletree, Ingestre Court, Ingestre Place, Soho.

The most complete building in Soho for anyone who wants the address today and the room next month. Huckletree sells all four products at Ingestre Court: the address, a desk-day at £42.00, a fixed desk from £750 a month, and — the outlier — a meeting room from £21.00 an hour, the cheapest hourly room anywhere in W1. Creative-sector tenant base, tucked in a courtyard off Broadwick Street.

  • 238 m from Old Compton Street
  • Operated by Huckletree
  • Meeting room from £21.00/hour
  • Desk-day from £42.00
  • Private desk from £750/month
  • Staffed Mon–Fri, 09:00–17:00

6. 16 Great Chapel Street (WeWork) — 16 Great Chapel Street, W1F 8FL

virtual office soho - 16 Great Chapel Street (WeWork)

16 Great Chapel Street (WeWork) by WeWork, 16 Great Chapel Street, Soho.

The eastern edge of Soho, three minutes from Tottenham Court Road and the Elizabeth line — which makes it the easiest door on this list for a client arriving from Heathrow or Canary Wharf. A private desk starts at £788 a month. As a registered office it reads unambiguously as Soho; as a commute it reads as Crossrail.

  • 249 m from Old Compton Street
  • Operated by WeWork
  • Private desk from £788/month

Request 16 Great Chapel Street (WeWork) on Wezoo

7. Broadwick Street (Fora) — 33 Broadwick Street, W1F 0DQ

virtual office soho - Broadwick Street (Fora)

Broadwick Street (Fora) by Fora, 33 Broadwick Street, Soho.

The most expensive building behind any Soho address on the platform: £1,172 per desk per month, more than double the London median and the top of the Soho range. Broadwick Street is Soho’s advertising and design axis, a minute from Berwick Street market. If you are choosing an address as a credential and the credential has to be the best in the district, this is the one the numbers point at.

  • 299 m from Old Compton Street
  • Operated by Fora
  • Private desk from £1,172/month

8. Noel Street (Knotel) — Waverley House, 7–12 Noel Street, W1F 8GQ

virtual office soho - Noel Street (Knotel)

Noel Street (Knotel) by Knotel, Waverley House, 7–12 Noel Street, Soho.

Waverley House is a quiet, well-mannered Noel Street building between Berwick Street and Poland Street, run by Knotel. The staffed window is 09:00 to 17:00, Monday to Friday — which is the window in which a courier, or Companies House, can actually hand a document to a person on your behalf. That is not a detail. It is the legal test.

  • 371 m from Old Compton Street
  • Operated by Knotel
  • Staffed Mon–Fri, 09:00–17:00

Request Noel Street (Knotel) on Wezoo

9. Huckletree Oxford Circus — 213 Oxford Street, W1D 2LG

virtual office soho - Huckletree Oxford Circus

Huckletree Oxford Circus by Huckletree, 213 Oxford Street, Soho.

Registered W1D, but be honest about the geography: 213 Oxford Street is 594 metres from the Dean Street junction, at the top of the district rather than inside it. What you get for the walk is depth — six meeting rooms from £31.80 an hour, five of them with natural light, plus desk-days at £42.00. The best Soho-postcode address for a business that expects to hold a lot of meetings.

  • 594 m from Old Compton Street
  • Operated by Huckletree
  • Meeting room from £31.80/hour
  • Desk-day from £42.00
  • Private desk from £760/month

What the Soho postcode actually charges you

Five London districts now have the same virtual-office data behind them, pulled the same way on the same day. Line them up and the folklore falls over.

District VO addresses Room at the same door Median room Median private desk
Soho (W1D/W1F) 9 3 of 9 £21.00–£111.60* £826
Mayfair (W1J/W1K/W1S) 8 7 of 8 £91.20 £710
Liverpool Street (EC2M/EC2N) 18 10 of 18 £69.00 £625
Old Street (EC1V/EC2A) 17 5 of 17 £63.60 £483
Farringdon (EC1M/EC1N) 7 2 of 7 £43.44 £488
London, all VO buildings 283 58% £60.00 £578

*Three Soho-core doors rent rooms by the hour; too few for a meaningful median, so the range is shown. Wezoo inventory, 12 July 2026.

Soho is the most expensive district in London to sit down in and one of the cheapest to meet in. The median private desk behind a Soho address is £826 a month — 43% above the London median and higher than Mayfair. Yet the cheapest meeting room in all of W1, at £21.00 an hour, is also here, at Ingestre Court.

Mayfair is the mirror image: a cheaper desk, and the dearest hour in London at £91.20. That is what those two postcodes are really selling. Mayfair rents you the meeting. Soho rents you the seat.

Which is a useful thing to know before you buy, because the virtual office soho address itself costs the same £45-ish a month as any other London address. The postcode does not charge you at the letterbox. It charges you the day you decide to move in.

Soho vs Mayfair vs Old Street: what each address says about you

Same city, same product, three completely different sentences.

  • Soho (W1D/W1F) — media, advertising, film, music, post-production. Best for production companies, agencies and studios.
  • Mayfair (W1J/W1K) — funds, family offices, luxury, private capital. Best for advisory and investment.
  • Old Street (EC1V/EC2A) — startup, product, engineering. Best for teams who expect to grow into the building.

Each of those is doing a different job.

Britain’s creative industries have been headquartered in a few hundred metres of Soho for a century, so a Wardour Street line on your invoice says you are in the trade. Mayfair sells the meeting: seven of its eight virtual-office buildings rent a boardroom on site, at a median £91.20 an hour, because there the pitch across the table is the business. Old Street sells the move-in — the cheapest desks of the three at a £483 median, and the fewest hourly rooms, because those buildings sell memberships and floors rather than hours.

None of these is better. A virtual office soho address is not an upgrade on Mayfair — it is a different claim.

Choose the one that matches the claim you are already making everywhere else. If you want the full comparison, we have written up a Mayfair virtual office address and a Liverpool Street business address on the same data.

When should you choose a virtual office soho over a desk?

When the address is doing work that a desk would not.

Run the arithmetic. A Soho address advertises at roughly £45 a month. The median fixed desk in the same building is £826 a month — eighteen times the address. If you are in Soho three days a week, buy the desk. If you are in Soho three days a year, but every brief you pitch for is commissioned by someone who is, buy the address and rent the room when you need it.

The catch is that only three of the nine Soho doors rent a room by the hour, and Wezoo lists 166 hourly meeting rooms across London at a £60.00 median. So the practical pattern for most people is: take the address at the building that suits the signal, and book the room wherever the meeting suits the client. We mapped every option for that in our guide to meeting rooms in Soho — worth reading before you promise anyone a screening, because Soho sells you a screen far more often than it sells you a camera.

For the wider mechanics — mail forwarding, call handling, what to check before you sign — start with our complete guide to virtual offices, or the London-wide view in registered office address London. If you are new to the product entirely, what is a virtual office address covers the basics before you compare a single postcode.

Virtual Office Soho FAQ

Is a virtual office Soho address legal as a registered office?

Yes, as long as the building is an appropriate address under the rules that took effect on 4 March 2024: post delivered there must reach someone acting for your company, and delivery must be capable of being acknowledged. Every Soho address on this list is a staffed, tenanted office building, so all nine can meet that test — but registered-office use is normally a paid add-on, not part of the base plan. Confirm it in writing with the operator before you file.

Which postcode is Soho — W1D, W1F or W1B?

Soho proper is W1D and W1F. W1B is the trap: it begins inside Soho at Warwick Street and then stretches 1.3 km north to Portland Place, which is Marylebone. If a listing advertises a virtual office Soho address in W1B, check the street before you check the postcode.

How much does a virtual office Soho plan cost?

Publicly advertised Soho plans start at roughly £40.50–£45.00 per month plus VAT (provider websites, July 2026). Registered-office use, mail forwarding and call answering are typically charged on top, and there is usually a one-off anti-money-laundering setup fee of around £30. Wezoo does not publish a price for the address — operators quote you directly.

Can I book a meeting room at my virtual office Soho address?

Sometimes. Only three of the nine Soho-core buildings on Wezoo rent a meeting room by the hour: Runway East on Old Compton Street (£111.60), Huckletree at Ingestre Court (£21.00, the cheapest hourly room in W1) and Huckletree Oxford Circus (£31.80). At the other six, book a room elsewhere in W1 — London lists 166 hourly rooms at a £60.00 median.

What does a Soho address signal to clients?

Creative-industry credibility. Soho is the historic home of British film, advertising, music and post-production, and Wardour Street in particular is the address the industry recognises without looking it up. It is the W1 equivalent of what EC2 does for finance — a claim about what you do, made before anyone reads your deck.

Why are there so few virtual office Soho addresses?

Because Soho is a small district of narrow Georgian and Victorian floorplates, not a modern office estate. Wezoo lists 283 virtual-office buildings across London and only nine of them sit in W1D or W1F — 3.2% of the city’s supply. The credential is scarce because the buildings are.

The bottom line on a Soho business address

A virtual office soho costs about the same as any other London address and buys something no other London address does: a street name that the creative industries read as membership. Nine buildings carry it — 3.2% of London’s supply — and the postcode district printed after that street name is the one part of it nobody has ever cared about.

Buy the street. Rent the room. Move in later, if the work takes you there.
