A virtual office massachusetts plan buys you a real commercial street address in the Commonwealth without a lease, a
deposit or a single square foot you have to heat. Wezoo lists 56 of them, from a Financial District tower on Lincoln
Street to a mill complex in Andover and a single downtown address in Springfield — and the choice between them is
less about prestige than most guides admit. If you want the wider product first, start with our
complete guide to virtual office services, then come back for the
Massachusetts map.
Here is the thing nobody puts in the comparison table. Two addresses in the same state, at the same operator quality,
can differ enormously in one respect that never appears in the marketing: whether you can actually show up. Eleven of
these 56 addresses have no hot desk, no day office and no meeting room bookable at the same door. Whether that matters
to you depends entirely on where the address sits.
Wezoo snapshot — Massachusetts virtual offices
- 56 virtual office addresses available on Wezoo
- Spread across 32 cities and 42 distinct ZIP codes
- 45 of 56 also list a hot desk, day office or meeting room at the same door
- 53 of 56 also publish private office rates, from $225 to $35,350 per month (median $1,396)
- Virtual office plans are quoted on request — no public rate is published
- Top operators: Regus, WeWork, HQ
What does a virtual office massachusetts plan actually include?
At minimum: a commercial street address you can put on filings, invoices and a website, plus mail receipt at that
address. Most Massachusetts buildings add mail forwarding or scanning, call answering, and discounted access to meeting
rooms in the same building or the same network.
What it is not is a mailbox service. The address is a staffed commercial building, which is why it satisfies the
street-address expectation on business filings that a PO box does not — the
USPS PO box product and a commercial
address are different things in the eyes of both the state and most banks. It is also why mail handling at these
buildings runs through
USPS PS Form 1583, the authorization
that lets a commercial agent receive mail on your behalf.
The 56 addresses are not the same product
This is the finding that changed how we would shortlist. Split the Massachusetts inventory by whether you can book
space at the same door and a clean pattern falls out — but not the one you would guess.

Boston holds more address-only listings than the rest of the state combined. Six of its 17
addresses are address-only, or 35 percent, against 5 of the other 39 addresses statewide, or 13 percent. Read that
figure alone and you would conclude that the prestige
addresses give you the least. The opposite is true, and the reason is the map.
Measure the distance from each address-only door to the nearest Wezoo address where you can book a desk or a
room. Inside the Boston core it is a walk.
| Address | City | From downtown Boston | Nearest Wezoo address with a bookable desk or room | Distance |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| One Beacon Street | Boston | 0.2 miles | 100 Cambridge Street | 977 ft |
| 33 Arch Street | Boston | 0.3 miles | 101 Arch Street | 437 ft |
| 200 Portland Street | Boston | 0.4 miles | 90 Canal Street | 650 ft |
| One Lincoln Street | Boston | 0.5 miles | 101 Arch Street | 841 ft |
| One Seaport Square | Boston | 0.7 miles | One Marina Park Drive | 763 ft |
| 501 Boylston Street | Boston | 1.0 miles | Symphony | 0.6 miles |
| 625 Massachusetts Ave | Cambridge | 2.3 miles | Harvard Square | 1.1 miles |
Address-only listings within 5 miles of downtown Boston. Distances are straight-line, calculated from published Wezoo location coordinates.
Further out, the same gap becomes a car journey.
| Address | City | From downtown Boston | Nearest Wezoo address with a bookable desk or room | Distance |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 27 Mica Lane | Wellesley | 10.6 miles | Riverside Center | 1.0 miles |
| 199 Rosewood Drive | Danvers | 14.6 miles | Ferncroft Corporate Center | 2.4 miles |
| 35 Nagog Park | Acton | 22.2 miles | Concord Meadows Business Center | 4.9 miles |
| 225 Foxborough Blvd | Foxborough | 23.7 miles | 26 Patriot Place | 3.7 miles |
Address-only listings beyond 5 miles. Straight-line distances; actual driving distance will be longer.
The median walk-back inside the 5-mile ring is 841 feet. Outside it, 3.1 miles
— a nineteenfold difference in the same state, for the same product. The mechanism is density: a Boston address
has a median of 17 other Wezoo addresses within 2 miles of it, and an address anywhere else in Massachusetts has a
median of zero. An address-only listing costs you nothing where the map is dense and costs you a drive where it
is thin. Check the menu on the listing, then check what is around it.
Which city should your virtual office massachusetts address name?
Thirty-two cities carry Wezoo addresses, and the distribution is lopsided in a way that shapes the decision. Boston
holds 17 of the 56. Cambridge has four. Worcester, Quincy, Somerville, Framingham and Foxborough have two each. The
remaining 25 cities have exactly one address apiece, which means in most of Massachusetts your choice is not which
building — it is whether you want that town’s name on your letterhead at all.
Geographically the state reads as one market with one center. Fifty of the 56 addresses sit within 25 miles of
downtown Boston, and the median distance across all 56 is 8.7 miles. Springfield, the furthest, is 80 miles west and
holds a single address. That matters for a practical reason: if your customers are in Hampden County, a Boston postmark
reads as an out-of-town vendor, and there is exactly one alternative. Our
virtual office Springfield guide covers that building
in detail, as our virtual office Worcester and
virtual office Framingham guides do for Central
Massachusetts and the MetroWest corridor.
8 virtual office massachusetts addresses worth shortlisting
These eight are picked to cover the state rather than to rank it: two downtown Boston doors that sit either side of
the address-only line, plus Cambridge, Worcester, Springfield, the South Shore, the Merrimack Valley and one suburban
address-only listing so you can see what that looks like in practice.
1. 101 Arch Street — Boston

What to expect: A full-menu listing in the heart of downtown, and the reason the address-only doors around it cost you so little. Hot desks, day offices, meeting rooms and 24 private offices sit behind the same street number, a short walk from Downtown Crossing. Listed private office prices start at $395 a month, though that suite is future-dated — $790 is the cheapest you could move into today. If you want a 02110 letterhead and somewhere to work the week you need it, this is the shortest route to both.
Operator: Regus · Address: 101 Arch Street, Boston, MA 02110 · On Wezoo: address plus hot desk, day office and meeting room
👈 Request 101 Arch Street on Wezoo
2. Harvard Square — Cambridge

What to expect: A Cambridge 02138 address carries different weight than a Boston one, and for anything touching research, biotech or education it usually carries more. The listing covers hot desks, day offices, meeting rooms and 15 private offices from $970 a month, a short walk from Harvard Square station. Catering and breakout space are listed on site, which matters when a funder wants to meet on your ground.
Operator: Regus · Address: Harvard Square, Cambridge, MA 02138 · On Wezoo: address plus hot desk, day office and meeting room
👈 Request Harvard Square on Wezoo
3. One Lincoln Street — Boston

What to expect: A Financial District tower address a short walk from South Station. On Wezoo this door lists the address and private offices from $1,030 a month, and nothing you can book by the hour or the day. That is worth knowing before you sign, though it costs you very little here: the nearest Wezoo address where you can sit down is 101 Arch Street, 841 feet away.
Operator: WeWork · Address: 1 Lincoln Street, Boston, MA 02111 · On Wezoo: address only — no drop-in space at this door
👈 Request One Lincoln Street on Wezoo
4. 370 Main Street — Worcester

What to expect: Central Massachusetts’ anchor address, in the middle of downtown Worcester about 39 miles west of Boston. It carries eight distinct capacities and the ladder starts at a single desk, from $225 a month. Read the move-in dates before you budget, though, because both $225 suites are future-dated and the cheapest one you could take today is $450. For a business that serves Worcester County and does not want a Boston postmark on its invoices, this is the obvious letterhead.
Operator: Regus · Address: 370 Main Street, Worcester, MA 01608 · On Wezoo: address plus hot desk, day office and meeting room
👈 Request 370 Main Street on Wezoo
5. 1500 Main Street — Springfield

What to expect: Western Massachusetts has exactly one Wezoo address and this is it, 80 miles from Boston in downtown Springfield’s tower cluster. Hot desks, day offices and meeting rooms are all listed here, plus private offices from $630 a month. If your customers are in Hampden or Hampshire County, a Boston address quietly tells them you are not local.
Operator: Regus · Address: 1500 Main Street, Springfield, MA 01115 · On Wezoo: address plus hot desk, day office and meeting room
👈 Request 1500 Main Street on Wezoo
6. 1515 Hancock Street — Quincy

What to expect: Quincy Center is 8 miles south of downtown Boston, which makes it the South Shore’s practical compromise: a Greater Boston address without a Greater Boston commute for anyone coming up from Braintree or Weymouth. The full menu is listed here, with twelve private offices across capacities from two to thirteen. The $930 entry suite is future-dated; $1,395 is the cheapest you could move into today.
Operator: Regus · Address: 1515 Hancock Street, Quincy, MA 02169 · On Wezoo: address plus hot desk, day office and meeting room
👈 Request 1515 Hancock Street on Wezoo
7. 300 Brickstone Square — Andover

What to expect: The Merrimack Valley option, 22 miles north of Boston in a converted mill complex with a restaurant and wheelchair access listed on site, and a public parking lot nearby. Fourteen private offices start at $698 a month, though both suites at that price are future-dated — the cheapest one you could move into today is $1,047. The full drop-in menu is standard this far out — 14 of the 16 addresses beyond 15 miles carry one, against 16 of the 26 inside the 5-mile ring.
Operator: Regus · Address: 300 Brickstone Square, Andover, MA 01810 · On Wezoo: address plus hot desk, day office and meeting room
👈 Request 300 Brickstone Square on Wezoo
8. 35 Nagog Park — Acton

What to expect: The clearest illustration of why the menu matters more the further out you go. This is a suburban business-park address 22 miles northwest of Boston, listed on Wezoo as an address with no hot desk, day office or meeting room. The nearest Wezoo door where you can sit down is Concord Meadows, 4.9 miles away — a drive, not a walk. Take this address for the letterhead and plan your meetings elsewhere.

What does a virtual office massachusetts address cost?
Wezoo publishes no public rate for virtual offices in Massachusetts. Plans are quoted per building and per service
level, which is why the request button asks rather than books.
What the same buildings do publish is the price of the next step up. Across 897 listed private office suites at the
53 addresses that publish rates, monthly prices run from $225 to $35,350, with a median of
$1,396. Per seat that narrows sharply: $197 to $769 per person per month, median
$375. A virtual office plan buys an address rather than a room, so treat the $225 private-office floor as a ceiling on
what the address alone should cost, not as a guide to it. And if you are weighing a virtual office against a small
private office, the honest comparison is the per-seat figure, not the headline — 46 of those 53 buildings charge
one flat rate per seat across every suite size they offer, so a bigger room in the same building is not a worse deal
per person.
One caution on availability: 38.6 percent of those suites carry a future move-in date, a median of 170 days out. The
address is available now. The room behind it often is not.
When should you upgrade from an address to a desk?
The trigger is not headcount. It is how often you need to be somewhere specific. If you are collecting mail monthly
and meeting clients on their ground, the address is the whole product. If you are meeting people at your address more
than about twice a month, the arithmetic shifts, and the 45 buildings that list both start to look meaningfully
different from the 11 that do not.
Massachusetts makes this easy to test before you commit, because most of these buildings sell the middle step. Day
offices are listed at 44 of the 56 addresses, hot desks at 41 and meeting rooms at 43, and 39 buildings list all four
products behind one street number. Book a day at your shortlisted address before you sign
anything. Our coworking space Massachusetts guide
covers the drop-in side of the same inventory. And if you are still working out what the product does,
how a virtual office works is the shorter read.
How do you set up a virtual office massachusetts address correctly?
Four steps, in this order, and none of them is the address itself.
- Register the entity. Massachusetts filings go through the Secretary of the Commonwealth’s
Corporations Division, and the
SBA’s
guide to registering a business sets out what state registration involves before you get there. - Appoint a registered agent. This is separate from your business address and carries its own
requirement that someone be available during business hours to accept legal service. A virtual office plan does not
supply it unless the operator says so in writing. - Get an EIN. The
IRS
employer identification number application asks for a mailing address, which your Massachusetts address can be. - File Form 1583 with the building. Two forms of identification, notarized or verified in person
depending on the operator. Until it is filed, the building cannot legally hand you your mail.
Do them in that order and the address is the last, easiest step.
On the choice of city itself, the
SBA’s
business location guidance is a useful counterweight to instinct, and
MassEcon publishes regional profiles if you are
choosing between the Boston core, the I-495 belt and the western half of the state.
Note on business and tax matters (last reviewed August 15, 2026). This article describes workspace listed on Wezoo and links to primary sources for the filing and mail-handling rules it mentions. It is not legal, tax or accounting advice, Wezoo is not a law firm or a registered agent service, and requirements change. Confirm registered agent, entity filing and mail-forwarding obligations with the Massachusetts Secretary of the Commonwealth, the IRS, USPS and your own advisers before you rely on any address.

Virtual office Massachusetts: frequently asked questions
Is a virtual office massachusetts address legal to use for an LLC?
A commercial street address supplied by a workspace operator is a real street address, and Massachusetts business filings with the Secretary of the Commonwealth require a street address rather than a PO box. What it does not automatically do is serve as your registered agent: that is a separate appointment with its own requirement that someone be present during business hours to accept service of process. Confirm both with the operator and with your attorney before you file.
Does a virtual office massachusetts plan include mail forwarding?
Almost always, but the terms differ by building, and mail handling at a commercial mail receiving agency requires a completed USPS PS Form 1583 with two forms of identification. Ask what is included in the base plan, what forwarding costs, and how quickly scanned mail appears. Those three answers separate the plans more than the address does.
How much does a virtual office massachusetts plan cost?
Wezoo does not publish a public rate for virtual offices in Massachusetts, because the plans are quoted per building and per level of mail and reception service. What the same buildings do publish is private office pricing: 897 listed suites from $225 to $35,350 a month, a median of $1,396, and $197 to $769 per seat per month. Treat the $225 floor as a ceiling on what an address alone should cost, not as a guide to it.
Which city gives the strongest virtual office massachusetts address?
It depends who reads your invoices. Boston ZIP codes from 02108 through 02116 plus 02210 signal a downtown professional services firm; Cambridge 02138, 02139 and 02142 signal research and technology; Worcester 01608 and Springfield 01115 signal that you are genuinely local to Central and Western Massachusetts. Thirty-two cities are available, so the honest question is which one your customer would expect to see.
Can I use a virtual office address as my business location for banking and an EIN?
Banks generally accept a commercial street address, and the IRS asks for a mailing address on the EIN application rather than a physical place of business. Individual banks set their own documentation rules, though, and some ask for evidence of the underlying agreement. Bring the signed workspace agreement to account opening.
Can I meet a client at my virtual office massachusetts address?
Check the listing first. Forty-five of the 56 Massachusetts addresses have a hot desk, day office or meeting room bookable at the same door, so you can turn the letterhead into a room for a morning. Eleven do not, and if the address is outside the Boston core, the nearest alternative runs from 1 to 4.9 miles away.
