Virtual Office in the Cayman Islands: Addresses, Legal Use and Costs (2026)

A virtual office is an address you may use for your business without renting a room behind it. In the Cayman Islands that comes down to a single listed building: The White House in George Town, on Grand Cayman, where four virtual office plans are listed from KYD 166.60 to KYD 498.13 per month, all of them on a one month minimum term.

This guide sets out what those four plans actually carry, what they cost, who they suit, and where the line runs between a workspace address and the statutory registered office a Cayman company has to maintain. That last distinction is the one most worth getting right before you pay for anything.

What you get with a virtual office in the Cayman Islands — and what you do not

The product is an address and the services attached to it. Nothing in a virtual office plan gives you a room you can walk into and work in, which is the single most common misunderstanding about it.

Across the four plans listed at The White House, the features named on the listings are a business address, mail handling, package handling, call answering, support for company registration, and on one plan access to the coworking floor. They do not all appear on every plan, and the differences are the whole reason there are four of them:

What the four listed plans carry

Business address 3 of 4 plans
Mail handling 3 of 4 plans
Package handling 3 of 4 plans
Call answering 3 of 4 plans
Company registration support 3 of 4 plans
Coworking access 1 of 4 plans

Read that table carefully, because the cheapest plan is the odd one out. At KYD 166.60 per month it carries call answering and nothing else: it is a phone service, not an address. If what you want is somewhere for post to arrive, the entry point is the KYD 174.97 plan, not the one below it.

What the listings do not specify is the detail inside each service. How often mail is forwarded, whether it is scanned and emailed or held for collection, which hours calls are answered and in whose name: those terms differ by provider and are settled when you make the request, not on the listing page. Ask about them before you commit, because for most buyers they matter more than the monthly figure.

What you do not get, plainly: no private room, no desk you can claim, and no tenancy. One plan adds access to the coworking floor, and that is the only one of the four that gets you through the door as a workspace rather than as a visitor. You also do not get any automatic legal standing for the address, which is the subject of a later section and deserves its own.

Where virtual office addresses are available in the Cayman Islands — the cities and how many addresses in each

One city, one address. Wezoo lists a single building in the Cayman Islands and it is in George Town, the capital, on Grand Cayman.

Cayman Brac none listed
Little Cayman none listed

For a virtual office that concentration matters far less than it would for a desk. You are buying a postal and registered correspondence address, and the question is whether the address reads as a credible Cayman business address, not whether it is a short drive from where you sleep. George Town carries the financial district, the government offices and the main port, so on that measure it is the address on the islands you would pick anyway.

It does mean there is no second option to compare on price or on service level. If the terms at this building do not suit you, the alternative is a provider outside the Wezoo list rather than a different Wezoo address.

What a virtual office costs in the Cayman Islands — and is there a free option?

Four plans are listed, all priced per month in Cayman Islands dollars, all on a one month minimum term:

Listed plan What it carries Per month
Call answering only Call answering KYD 166.60
Address and mail Business address, mail and package handling, company registration support KYD 174.97
Address, mail and calls The above plus call answering KYD 325.67
Full plan with workspace access All of the above plus coworking access KYD 498.13

The gap worth noticing is between the second and third plan. Adding call answering to an address roughly doubles the monthly figure, which tells you the phone service is priced as a staffed service rather than as a feature. If nobody is going to ring the number, the KYD 174.97 plan does the job the address is actually for.

Is there a free option? Not on this list, and the question deserves a straighter answer than it usually gets. A free business address in a jurisdiction like the Cayman Islands would mean somebody absorbing the cost of receiving, sorting and holding your post indefinitely, and nobody does that. What does exist elsewhere, and is sometimes sold as free, is a mail forwarding box with no staffed reception behind it. That is a different product, and it is generally the one that fails when an address needs to look like a place of business.

All four figures are starting prices, which means they are the floor rather than a quote. The term you agree, the services you add and the length of commitment all move the final number, and that is settled with the operator at the point of request.

Is a virtual office legal in the Cayman Islands, and which addresses the registrar accepts

This is the question the market asks most often about virtual offices anywhere, and it is the one where a vague answer does real damage. So here is an honest one, with its limits stated.

Three of the four plans at this building name company registration support among their listed features. That is a statement about what the operator offers, taken from the listing itself. It is not a statement about what any Cayman authority will accept, and the two should not be read as the same thing.

We have not verified which Cayman requirements this address satisfies, so this guide does not tell you that it does. What is worth understanding before you ask is that a correspondence or business address and the statutory registered office a company is required to maintain are distinct things in most jurisdictions, and they are not automatically met by the same arrangement. An address can be entirely suitable for post, for a website, for a bank’s correspondence file and for your letterhead, and still not be the thing a company registry will accept as a registered office.

So the sequence that keeps you out of trouble is this one. Decide which of the two you actually need. If it is correspondence, the plans above cover it. If it is a statutory registered office, confirm directly with the competent Cayman Islands authority what is required and confirm with the operator, in writing, whether the service they provide meets it. Do that before you incorporate, not after, because an address that turns out to be the wrong kind is expensive to unwind.

Note: this section is general orientation and not legal advice. The requirements for a registered office in the Cayman Islands are not described here because we have not verified them against a primary source. Check with the competent authority and with your own adviser before relying on any address for incorporation or filing. Position as at November 2026.

Who uses a virtual office — and who should not

The clearest fit is a business with a real reason to be present in the Cayman Islands and no reason to put anyone in a room there. That covers a founder incorporating locally while the team works elsewhere, an overseas company that needs a credible local point of contact, a consultant who deals with Cayman clients and does not want a residential address on correspondence, and a small operation that wants post handled by someone rather than piling up behind a door.

The coworking access on the top plan changes the calculation for one group in particular. If you are on the island for a few days a month, that plan buys you an address and somewhere to sit, and at KYD 498.13 it is a reasonable way to have both without a room standing empty between visits.

Who should not: anyone who needs a desk most days, for whom this is the wrong product and a private office or a coworking membership is the right one. Anyone whose sole requirement is a statutory registered office and who has not yet confirmed what that requires, for whom the next step is that confirmation and not a purchase. And anyone looking for an address to create an impression of substance that is not there. Operators in this market know that pattern, and the paperwork that comes with a Cayman address tends to find it.

1. The White House — George Town

The White House is the only building Wezoo lists in the Cayman Islands, for virtual offices and for every other workspace type. It is in George Town on Grand Cayman, at postal code KY1-1208, and it is operated by Regus.

The reception pictured above is the practical point of the address: there is a staffed front desk behind it, which is what separates this from a post box. The building is wheelchair accessible, has parking of its own and sits next to a public parking lot. Breakout spaces and catering are named at the building, and those are the facilities the top plan opens up along with the coworking floor.

Four virtual office plans are listed here, from KYD 166.60 to KYD 498.13 per month, each on a one month minimum term. The same building carries the private offices covered in our companion guide, so if your plans change from an address to a room, you would not be moving.

How to request a virtual office on Wezoo

A virtual office is requested, not booked from a calendar. You say which plan you want and when you want it to start, the enquiry reaches Regus, who hold the address, and the terms are agreed directly with them.

Settle three things before you send it. First, which of the four plans matches what you need, and in particular whether you need the phone answered at all, since that is what separates the KYD 174.97 plan from the KYD 325.67 one. Second, what you intend to use the address for, because if the answer involves a company registry you want that raised in the first message rather than discovered later. Third, how mail should reach you: forwarded, scanned, or held for collection, and how often.

With one building in the country there is no shortlist to work through, which makes this quicker than it is in most markets. Ask your questions in the request itself and you should get a usable answer in one round.

If a room rather than an address turns out to be what you need, the same building is covered in our guide to commercial office space for lease in the Cayman Islands, which sets out the nine private offices inside it and what they cost.

And if the Cayman Islands is one of several markets you are weighing up, the nearest comparable guides on Wezoo are for virtual offices in Jamaica, about 505 km away and the closest listed market to Grand Cayman, and virtual offices in Puerto Rico, further east at around 1,610 km. Both are in English and both list more than one address, so they are useful for seeing how the Cayman pricing compares.
