Coworking Space Canary Wharf: 2 Best Desks and Real Prices (2026)

A coworking space Canary Wharf desk is not priced like the rest of London. Wezoo lists two coworking buildings inside the E14 postcode — Canary Wharf Cabot Square and Canary Wharf 1 Canada Square — and a desk in either one starts at £82.80 a day, against a London median of £54.00. That gap is the whole story, and it is worth understanding before you book. If you want the wider picture first, start with our complete guide to coworking.

This guide gives you the real day rates, the two buildings you can actually book a desk in today, why the Wharf sits where it does on the London price curve, and the moment a day office or a meeting room becomes the cheaper choice.

What does a coworking space Canary Wharf desk cost?

£82.80 to £94.80 per desk per day, VAT included. That is the actual bookable range on Wezoo right now, not a “from” price with conditions attached. Canary Wharf 1 Canada Square is the cheaper of the two at £82.80. Canary Wharf Cabot Square is £94.80.

Both are day rates. No membership, no monthly minimum, no sales call. You pick a date, you book the desk, you turn up.

Building Operator Desk / day Desks bookable vs London median
Canary Wharf 1 Canada Square (E14 5AA) Signature £82.80 12 1.53×
Canary Wharf Cabot Square (E14 4QZ) Spaces £94.80 8 1.76×
London (all listed buildings) 116 buildings £54.00 median 1,167 1.00×

One honest caveat. E14 is bigger than the estate. Head south past the dock into Millharbour and South Quay and the low-rise buildings there list desks on the wider market for roughly £45 to £50 a day. Those are E14 addresses too — they are not Canary Wharf towers. The two buildings below are on the estate itself.

The two Canary Wharf buildings you can book a desk in today

Canary Wharf Cabot Square — Spaces

25 Cabot Square sits on the west side of the estate, roughly two minutes on foot from the Jubilee line ticket hall and the same again from the Elizabeth line. Eight hot desks are bookable, and every one of them is in a room with natural light — unusual enough in London that it is worth saying out loud.

Members rate it 4.2 out of 5 overall, with design and ambiance at 4.6 and reachability at 4.7. Value for money is its weakest sub-score at 3.6. Bike storage, catering and a restaurant on site. Meeting rooms in the same building start at £76.32 an hour if the day turns into something bigger.

Canary Wharf 1 Canada Square — Signature

The 37th floor of the pyramid-topped tower everyone means when they say Canary Wharf. Twelve hot desks, sitting directly above the Jubilee, DLR and Elizabeth line interchange — you can be at your desk within four minutes of stepping off a train.

It scores 4.5 out of 5 overall, its design and ambiance rating is 4.8, and reachability is 4.9 — the highest of the two. Four of the twelve desks have natural light. Breakout spaces, climate control, a coffee and tea bar, a restaurant, and step-free access throughout. Meeting rooms here start at £61.73 an hour, seating four to eight.

Why does a coworking space Canary Wharf desk cost more than the London median?

Because you are buying a floor in a tower, not a room above a coffee shop. Both E14 buildings sit in the top 22% of London by desk price. Cabot Square is in the top 13%. The London range runs from £30 a day at the bottom to £130.80 at the top, and the Wharf lands firmly in the upper quarter of that spread.

Here is the part nobody tells you: Canary Wharf is not the ceiling. The most expensive desks in London are at Bishopsgate, Berkeley Square and St James, all at £130.80 a day. The Wharf costs more than most of London and less than the top of it. If you want the full menu of what a day in a shared building can look like across price points, our guide to flexible workspace options lays it out.

The ratings back the pricing up in an unflattering way. Value for money is the lowest-scoring category at both Wharf buildings — 3.9 at 1 Canada Square, 3.6 at Cabot Square — while design, ambiance and reachability sit near the top of the scale. People who book here know exactly what they are paying for, and it is not the chair.

What is a coworking space Canary Wharf best for?

Client-facing days. Finance, legal, consulting, fintech — anyone whose meeting goes better when it happens inside a tower with a marble lobby. That is a real, measurable business reason, and it is why the premium exists.

It is a different animal from Shoreditch or Old Street. Those postcodes are built around startups, hot-desking founders and a certain kind of exposed-brick energy. The Wharf is corporate, quiet and glass-walled. Neither is better; they are for different days. If your work sits closer to the City fringe, our guides to coworking in East London and what shared office space really costs will serve you better.

Choose the Wharf when the room is part of the pitch. Choose almost anywhere else when it is not.

Getting there: Jubilee line, DLR and the Elizabeth line

Three networks land inside the estate. The Jubilee line puts you at Canary Wharf in 12 minutes from London Bridge and about 20 from Bond Street. The DLR connects Bank, Stratford and City Airport. And the Elizabeth line reaches Liverpool Street in 6 minutes, Paddington in 17, and Heathrow in under 45 — which is the single biggest reason Canary Wharf works as a day-trip office for anyone flying in.

Both listed buildings are inside a five-minute walk of the interchange. 1 Canada Square is directly on top of it.

When a day office or a meeting room beats a hot desk here

A hot desk buys you a seat in a shared room. Sometimes that is the wrong purchase. Two thresholds are worth knowing, and both are specific to E14.

Privacy. A day office at these two buildings runs £214.80 (1 Canada Square) to £238.80 (Cabot Square) per day. That is about 2.5× the hot-desk rate — the price of a door that closes. If you are running back-to-back confidential calls, that door pays for itself in one awkward conversation you did not have to have in an open room.

Meetings. Meeting rooms in the same buildings start at £61.73 an hour (Signature) and £76.32 an hour (Spaces). Do the division: a full day at the desk costs roughly what 80 minutes in the boardroom costs. If you need the room for two hours or more, book the room and skip the desk entirely.

And if the answer is that you need the address every day rather than once a fortnight, E14 has private offices too — Fora at One Canada Square and WeWork at 30 Churchill Place — starting from £400 a month for a single-person suite.

How far in advance should you book?

Twenty desks is not a lot of desks. Between the two buildings, that is the entire bookable Canary Wharf supply on Wezoo — and Tuesday to Thursday is when hybrid workers move, a pattern the ONS has tracked across Great Britain. Book midweek dates a few days out. Mondays and Fridays you can usually take on the morning of.

Coworking space Canary Wharf: the short version

Two buildings. Twenty desks. No membership. A coworking space Canary Wharf desk costs £82.80 to £94.80 a day, about 1.5× to 1.8× what the same desk costs across the London median — and you are paying for the tower, the interchange beneath it and the room your client walks into, not for the chair.

If that trade is worth it for the day you have in mind, book it. If it isn’t, London has 114 other buildings that will sell you a desk for less.
