Coworking space Ireland cover: 30 hot desk addresses across 8 counties on Wezoo

Wezoo lists a hot desk at 30 buildings in Ireland, from a business park in west Cork to a first-floor suite at Dublin Airport. Between them those 30 addresses carry 206 separate hot desk listings. This guide walks the whole set: what a desk actually includes, where the buildings are, what a day costs, and when a hot desk is the wrong answer.

Two things shape everything below. A hot desk is a seat on a shared floor in a building somebody else runs, so the desk is yours for the day and the kitchen, breakout areas and reception are shared with everyone else in the building. And every hot desk price on Wezoo Ireland is a day rate: you pick the dates, you see the total before you confirm, and there is no membership behind it.

What you get with coworking space in Ireland — and what you do not

A hot desk gives you a seat, a plug and a connection on an open floor, booked by the day. You do not get the same chair twice, you do not get a door you can close, and you do not get the room to yourself. That is the trade, and it is why a day costs what it costs.

Across the 30 Irish buildings, every hot desk listing includes WiFi. Twenty-two of the 30 list natural light on the desk itself, and four list coffee, tea and water as part of the desk rather than as an extra. Those are the only three things the listings state at desk level; everything else sits at building level.

At building level the picture is wider. Twenty-nine of the 30 list a catering service, 25 list breakout spaces and 11 list a lounge. Twenty are flagged as near public transport and 21 as near a public car park, with 13 listing parking of their own and eight listing bike storage. Five list phone booths, five list a staffed reception, five list a coffee and tea bar, four list climate control and one lists lockers. Ten of the 30 publish a wheelchair accessible flag. Where a flag is absent, it means the building has not published it, not that the facility is missing.

What a hot desk is not: it is not a room you can lock, it is not a registered business address, and it is not a space for a group. Each of those is a different product in the same buildings. For a lockable room see private offices in Ireland; for a trading address see virtual offices in Ireland; for a group see meeting rooms in Ireland. If you want the four formats compared side by side before you choose, start at flexible workspace in Ireland.

What coworking space costs in Ireland — day pass, part time and full time

Every one of the 206 hot desk listings in Ireland is priced by the day. The lowest is €25.71 at West Cork Business and Technology Park and the highest is €101.48 at Dublin Airport. Both figures are per person per day with tax included, and both are a starting rate: a building with several desk types publishes its cheapest one here.

What you see is what you pay. The figure on a Wezoo listing is the operator rate plus any applicable VAT, with no booking fee added on top, and no membership to join before you can use it. You can book one day or several days in a row at the same rate.

Where the Irish day rates sit

  • Cheapest in the set: €25.71 at West Cork Business and Technology Park, Cork

  • Cheapest in Dublin: €33.83, at Huckletree D2 and at The Masonry

  • Outside Dublin: €33.83 in Kilkenny, €39.24 in Waterford and in Wexford, €47.36 in Limerick, €52.77 in Louth and €60.89 in Tipperary

  • Dearest in the set: €101.48 at Dublin Airport

  • Every listing is priced in euro; no Irish listing is priced in any other currency

Part time and full time are a different conversation. The Irish market sells those as monthly memberships, usually a set number of days a month or unlimited weekday access, and Wezoo does not publish them: there is no monthly hot desk rate on any of the 30 Irish buildings. If a month of desk time is what you are after, book a day first to see the floor, then ask the operator for their monthly terms. The alternative is a private office, which is priced monthly and does appear on Wezoo.

Hot desk or dedicated desk: which one you need

A hot desk is unassigned. You arrive, you take a free seat, and the seat goes back into the pool when you leave. A dedicated desk is the same desk every day with your monitor left on it, and it is sold on a monthly commitment rather than by the day.

The 30 Irish buildings on Wezoo list the first kind. That suits the way most people actually use these floors: one or two days a week, a client visit, a week between house moves, a team that works remotely but meets in person on Thursdays. It does not suit a person who needs a fixed setup they can leave in place, and it does not suit anyone who has to take confidential calls all day.

Capacity is worth reading before you book a group in. Most Irish hot desk listings are for one person, because a hot desk listing is one seat. Five buildings publish a larger ceiling on at least one listing: Huckletree D2 lists up to 50, Bureau Offices No.1 The Capel Building up to 20, The Masonry up to 11, and South Point and The Greenway up to five each. That ceiling is the most people the listing can take, not a guarantee the floor is empty.

If you have landed here because you need a desk you can leave things on, the honest answer is that a private office in Ireland is the product that does that, and Wezoo lists those at 47 Irish buildings. If you need a room for a few hours rather than a desk for a day, see meeting rooms in Ireland.

Who uses coworking space in Ireland

Three groups account for most Irish hot desk bookings. Freelancers and sole traders who want somewhere other than a kitchen table. Remote employees of companies with no Irish office, or with an office two hours away. And visiting teams, who need somewhere to work for a day between meetings, which is why Dublin Airport is on this list at all.

It is worth knowing that commercial hot desks are not the only option in Ireland. Connected Hubs, a Government of Ireland initiative managed by the Western Development Commission with the Department of Rural and Community Development and the Gaeltacht, runs a national network of more than 400 community and enterprise hubs, many of them in towns and villages well outside the cities. Those hubs and the 30 commercial buildings on this page answer different questions: the hub network is built around keeping work in rural communities, while the buildings here are serviced offices in business districts and business parks with desks sold by the day.

Who it is not for. If you need a registered address for a company rather than a place to sit, that is a virtual office. If you need to leave equipment somewhere overnight, that is a private office. If you want a room with a door for a half day of interviews, that is a meeting room or a day office. A hot desk answers one question well: where do I work today.

How to book coworking space on Wezoo

Booking a desk takes three steps and no account setup.

Book a hot desk in Ireland in three steps

  • Pick the address. Work down the county sections above, or open the Ireland coworking page and filter from there. Every building listed is live inventory.

  • Pick your dates. Choose a single day or several in a row. The total you see includes any applicable VAT and carries no booking fee.

  • Book as a guest and turn up. There is no membership to join first. Walk in on the day, take a free seat and connect.

One practical note. The rate is per person per day, so two colleagues on the same day are two seats rather than one group booking. If you want to be certain a building suits the work, book a single day there before you commit to a run of them.

Coworking space Ireland FAQ

How much does a coworking space cost per day in Ireland?

Day rates on Wezoo run from €25.71 to €101.48 per person, tax included. The cheapest is West Cork Business and Technology Park in Cork and the dearest is Dublin Airport. In Dublin the lowest is €33.83, at Huckletree D2 and at The Masonry.

Can I book a coworking desk in Ireland without a membership?

Yes. Every hot desk on Wezoo Ireland is sold by the day and booked as a guest. There is no membership to join, no minimum number of days and no booking fee on top of the rate you see.

How many coworking spaces are there in Ireland on Wezoo?

Thirty buildings list a hot desk, carrying 206 hot desk listings between them. Twenty of the 30 are in the Dublin area, with the other ten in Limerick, Cork, Kilkenny, Louth, Tipperary, Waterford and Wexford.

What is the difference between a hot desk and a dedicated desk?

A hot desk is an unassigned seat you book for the day and give back when you leave. A dedicated desk is the same desk every day on a monthly commitment. Wezoo lists hot desks in Ireland; a dedicated desk or a monthly membership is quoted by the operator directly.

Is there coworking space in Ireland outside Dublin?
