Six buildings in Edmonton rent out a business address Edmonton companies can put on the corporate registry, and all six are listed on Wezoo. Three sit downtown, two sit on the south side and one sits in West Central, which is the whole of the choice in this city. If you want the national picture first, our complete guide to virtual offices in Canada covers how the product works across the country, and the virtual office Alberta guide sets out the provincial side.

Most people arrive at a business address Edmonton search for one of two reasons. Either they are incorporating and have worked out that the registered office goes on a public database, or they have been running the company from the kitchen table and have started handing out a home address to clients. Your registered office address goes on the public record. Your kitchen table does not have to.

What does a business address Edmonton listing cost?

Wezoo does not publish a starting price for any of the six. That is the honest answer, and it is worth saying plainly rather than quoting a national average that no Edmonton operator has agreed to. Virtual office plans are built per customer, so the figure depends on what you add to the address.

What moves the number is the service stack. A registered address on its own is the cheapest rung. Mail handling costs more, and costs more again if you want post scanned and emailed rather than held for collection. Call answering with a local Edmonton number is a separate line. Meeting room hours are usually bundled in small quantities and billed beyond that. Ask for the quote with those four items itemised, because a single monthly figure hides which of them you are actually paying for.

Can you register your company at a business address Edmonton operators provide?

The registry rules are public and specific, so start there rather than with the sales page. For an Alberta corporation, the Government of Alberta states that the registered office needs to be a physical location in Alberta, so that the corporation can get legal documents delivered. For a federal corporation, Corporations Canada is blunter still: the registered office address cannot be a post office box, and it has to sit in the province named in the articles.

All six Edmonton listings are physical street addresses in Alberta with staffed reception, so they clear that bar on their face. The registry does not ask whether the address impresses anyone. It asks whether a process server can find you there.

Two things still sit between you and a filing, and no article can settle either of them for you. First, an Alberta corporation also has to appoint an agent for service, an individual located in Alberta who consents to accepting notices and documents on the company’s behalf. Second, the operator has to agree to the use you have in mind, because receiving legal service is a different undertaking from forwarding post. Put both questions to the operator in writing when you request the address, and confirm the filing requirements with Alberta Corporate Registry or Corporations Canada before you incorporate. Wezoo lists the buildings; it does not give legal advice.

One consequence people miss until it is done: Corporations Canada publishes the registered office address in its online database, and it says so on the form instructions. That is the single strongest argument for not using your house.

The 6 business address Edmonton options on Wezoo

Listed downtown first, then West Central, then the south side. Every one of them includes the same core package in the operator listing: a business address, mail handling, call answering, a local phone number and meeting room access on site. Walking distances are the measured figures from the Wezoo listing, not estimates.

1. First Edmonton Place, downtown Edmonton

First Edmonton Place by Regus, Central business district

10665 Jasper Avenue, Edmonton, AB T5J 3S9. Operated by Regus. Corona station is 132 metres on foot, the shortest walk to rail of any of the six.

An all-glass high rise on Jasper Avenue, which is as close to a default downtown Edmonton address as the city has. The operator listing covers a business address, mail handling, call answering, a local phone number and meeting room access, and the building adds videoconferencing facilities, a lounge and on site parking for the days you bring a client in.

10180 101 Street, Edmonton, AB T5J 3S4. Operated by Regus. Central station is 639 metres on foot, with Bay/Enterprise Square at 671 metres.

The tallest building in Edmonton, 36 storeys of glass in the middle of the central business district. The virtual office package is the same core set, a business address with mail handling, call answering, a local phone number and meeting room access, and the building carries a coffee bar, a gym and a restaurant for anyone who ends up spending the afternoon there.

3. 98 Avenue, downtown Edmonton

98 Avenue by HQ, Legislature grounds

10611 98 Avenue, Edmonton, AB T5K 2P7. Operated by HQ. Government Centre Plaza is 471 metres on foot, the shortest walk to light rail of the six.

The tower sits next to the Alberta Legislature grounds, so the postcode reads as government and professional services rather than retail. Mail handling, call answering, a local phone number and meeting room access come with the address. Bike storage, secure parking and step free access are part of the building, which matters on the days you actually turn up.

4. 12315 Stony Plain Road, West Central Edmonton

12315 Stony Plain Road by Regus, 124 Street corridor

12315 Stony Plain Road, Edmonton, AB T5N 3Y8. Operated by Regus. The nearest measured stop is Connaught Drive and 102 Avenue, 858 metres on foot.

The only one of the six outside downtown and the south side. It sits on two arterial routes beside the 124 Street business and entertainment corridor, which gives it a neighbourhood character the towers do not have. Mail handling, call answering, a local phone number and meeting room access are included, parking is plentiful, and the building runs a 100 kW solar array.

5. Elm Business Park 4, south Edmonton

9426 51 Avenue NW, Edmonton, AB T6E 5A6. Operated by HQ. The nearest measured stop is 99 Street and 48A Avenue, 1,129 metres on foot.

A classical style office building with a central foyer, close to South Edmonton Common and the retail and service belt around it. The virtual office covers a business address, mail handling, call answering, a local phone number and meeting room access. This is a driving address rather than a walking one, which suits a trades or field based company better than a client facing consultancy.

6. Elm Business Park 3, south Edmonton

9452 51 Avenue NW, Suite 301, Edmonton, AB T6E 5A6. Operated by HQ. The nearest measured stop is 99 Street and 48A Avenue, 1,095 metres on foot.

Next door to number four and the only address of the six that publishes a suite number, which some filers prefer. The Ellerslie district around it is logistics, light industrial and business to business, so the address reads as operational rather than corporate. Mail handling, call answering, a local phone number and meeting room access are part of the arrangement.

Which Edmonton districts carry the most weight for a business address?

Six addresses. Two operators. Three parts of the city. The registry treats all three the same way, so this section is about the reader of your letterhead, not the Registrar. Which business address Edmonton option you pick is a positioning decision, not a compliance one.

Downtown and the central business district carries three of the six: Jasper Avenue, 101 Street and 98 Avenue. A Jasper Avenue postcode is the one an Edmonton client reads without thinking about it, and it is also the best connected, with Corona station 132 metres from First Edmonton Place and Government Centre Plaza 471 metres from 98 Avenue. If you ever meet clients in person, pay the premium here.

West Central has one, on Stony Plain Road beside the 124 Street corridor. It reads as an established commercial street rather than a tower, which suits a studio, a practice or a consultancy whose clients are local rather than corporate.

South Edmonton has two, both in Elm Business Park off 51 Avenue NW. The Ellerslie area around them is logistics, light industrial and business to business. For a company serving contractors or distributors, a south side address is the accurate one, and accuracy beats prestige when your customers know the city. Be aware that neither has a measured transit stop inside a kilometre.

Who uses an Edmonton business address, and who should not

It fits a newly incorporated company that needs a registered office and does not want a home address on a public database. It fits a consultant or contractor who works at client sites and needs post to land somewhere staffed. It fits an out of province or overseas company that has to show an Alberta presence, which is also where the agent for service question matters most. And it fits a founder who wants to separate the business mail from the household mail before the volume makes that decision for them.

It does not fit a company that needs people in a room every day. If your team is in Edmonton and working together, the product you want is a desk or an office, not an address, and the private office Edmonton guide is the right starting point. It also does not fit a regulated business whose licence requires an address where the public can attend during business hours. Check the licensing condition before you file anything, because a shared reception may not satisfy it.

How to request a business address in Edmonton on Wezoo

A virtual office is not instantly bookable the way a meeting room is. You send an enquiry, the operator comes back with a plan and a price, and you sign with them. Four steps.

  1. Pick the district first and the building second. Downtown, West Central or the south side is the decision that actually changes how the address reads.
  2. Open that building on Wezoo and request the virtual office. Say in the enquiry that you intend to use the address as a registered office, if you do.
  3. Ask for mail handling, call answering, the local number and meeting room hours priced separately, so you can drop the ones you will not use.
  4. Confirm the registry side before you file, including the agent for service appointment for an Alberta corporation.

The full Edmonton list, with every address and its operator, sits on the Wezoo Edmonton virtual offices page.

The same arrangement exists in the other cities we have mapped. In Ontario there is virtual office Mississauga, virtual office Markham, virtual office Oakville and the virtual business address Ottawa guide, which covers the federal filing angle in more detail. Elsewhere there is bureau virtuel Montreal in Quebec and virtual office Halifax on the east coast. Inside Alberta, the nearest comparison is the Calgary virtual office market, which is larger and priced differently.

Business address Edmonton: frequently asked questions

How much does a business address Edmonton listing cost?

Wezoo does not publish a starting price for any of the six Edmonton listings, so each one is quoted on request. The price depends on what you add to the address: mail handling, mail scanning, call answering with a local number and meeting room hours are usually priced separately. Ask for them itemised.

Can I use an Edmonton virtual office as my registered office?

A business address Edmonton operators rent out has to clear the same test as any other registered office. The Government of Alberta requires a registered office to be a physical location in Alberta where legal documents can be delivered, and Corporations Canada does not accept a post office box for a federal corporation. All six listings are physical Alberta street addresses with staffed reception. Whether a specific operator agrees to that use is a question for the operator, and you should confirm the filing requirements with the registry before you incorporate.

Is my registered office address public?

Yes for a federal corporation. Corporations Canada states on its Form 2 instructions that the registered office address is corporate information that is public and will be published in its online database, even where that address is also a residential address. That is the main reason founders move the address off their home.

Which Edmonton district should I choose?

Every business address Edmonton option on Wezoo falls into one of three districts. Downtown if you meet clients or want the address to read as corporate, with three buildings on Jasper Avenue, 101 Street and 98 Avenue. West Central if your clients are local and a neighbourhood street fits better. South Edmonton if you serve contractors, logistics or trade customers, where a business park address is the accurate one.

Do I get a meeting room with an Edmonton business address?

Every one of the six operator listings includes meeting room access on site alongside the address, mail handling, call answering and a local phone number. The number of included hours varies by plan, so confirm it in the quote.
